If you are feeling tired from tourists crowds in Rome the best place to take a rest is an beautiful ancient Italian town in Lazio, about 30 km east-north-east of Rome, named Tivoli. How to get there? It’s easy, you just have to go to metro station Ponte Mammolo (blue line B) and take a bus to Tivoli (1/2/3 platform from the left side). You can use your daily ticket of 4 Euro, it works on this bus as well. Arriving time is about 40 minutes without traffic jam.

You also have to be sure you are not missed your stop and dont hesitate ask driver to remind you where to go out. There is info kiosk near the bus stop where you can get answers on all your quastions. Dont forget to take the map. We went up to Villa d’Este only though it is possible to visit another villa named villa Gregoriana as well which is a little bit farther from the center of the town. Price for one regular ticket is 12 Euro. We enjoyed very much among beautiful fountains and flowers we saw in the park.

Such a big pleasure to sit near the fountain and listen the sound of falling water!
